Gary Parrish Believes Kentucky Will Make Run to Final Four, Undefeated in 2014?

Final-2013-NCAA-Final-Four-Logo-JPG11.3.11Gary Parrish of Eye On College Basketball, or CBSSports.com recently talked about Kentucky and the chances of them returning to their fourth consecutive Elite Eight in this article where he looks ahead at the remaining college basketball season. He not only believes the Cats will make it four straight, but will also will go on to "win the SEC and make a third consecutive Final Four." If this does happen it would be the third straight season UK has reached the last weekend of the season. Basically, he looks at it as every fan of BBN and myself, this team is too talented, loaded with future NBA players and will click to make that one run when it counts.

But wait, there is more. Parrish goes on to mention how the team will reload next season with talent that could possibly go undefeated. How ridiculous would that be, considering it is slightly possible with the recruits committed and who still may decide to join the 2013 class. Here is the full excerpt from the piece:

3. Can Kentucky make a fourth consecutive Elite Eight?

This might seem far fetched considering the Wildcats are unranked and 0-4 against schools in the RPI's top 50. But you would be foolish to dismiss a team with three lottery picks (Nerlens Noel, Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress) and a point guard (Ryan Harrow) who is averaging 16.8 points and 4.3 assists in his past four outings. In fact, here's my prediction: The Wildcats will win the SEC and make a third consecutive Final Four and fourth consecutive Elite Eight, then reload with a fresh batch of freshmen who will be talented enough to maybe go undefeated next season. (But we'll deal with that last part at a later date.)
