Derek Willis from Bullit East High School will make his college decision known this Friday at 4pm at his school. The 2013 recruit was committed to Purdue but opened up his recruitment over the summer. His final four are Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana and Purdue. Most scouts have him leaning toward the University of Kentucky although both Calipari and Pitino have been recruiting him hard since Willis opened his recruitment up. Willis is a 4-Star recruit who is ranked the best player in Kentucky for his class by ESPN.com and the 23rd best recruit in the country by Rivals.com. At 6'9 200 lbs., many scouts have been impressed with his ability to make shots and athleticism.

Derek is a very skilled power forward. He is so skilled that it is not beyond possibility that he could be a small forward in time. He is a good athlete that has an advanced offensive skill level for a player his size in his age group.
