Latest 2014 NBA Mock Draft Updates
It feels like forever since the college basketball season ended and we are still weeks away from the NBA draft. With so much time between the college basketball season and the draft there has been a lot of stories and analysis on each of the players including the ones from Louisville and Kentucky.
Let’s take a look at where the players are projected to go and some news from their workouts and meetings with teams.
Most still believe that Kansas center Joel Embiid will be the first pick in the draft, despite his injury. DraftExpress.com has Andrew Wiggins going first.
Kentucky one-and-done Julius Randle is projected as the 6th pick in the draft by Boston Celtics according to DraftExpress.com. They have SF James Young going 12th to the Orlando Magic and UofL’s Russ Smith going to the Chicago Bulls as the 49th pick in the draft.
All three of the CBSSports.com analysts believe Randle will go in the top 7, James Young is projected anywhere from 10th to 15th.
HoopsHype also has Randle going 6th to Boston and they have Young going 15th to Atlanta.
ESPN’s Chad Ford has Randle going 7th to the Lakers and Young as a mid-first round pick.
